It was just sad the way he died, and he was young too. I didn't bawl like a baby but my eyes welled up. It was just shocking.

Do you know if there were any explanations to why he ran out of water so soon into the trip? I realize he was kind of wreckless from following his blogs, I just thought it was odd that he spent so much time researching this trip and yet is it true he ran out of gas.?

Im not seeing much info on the circumstances of this trip.

I haven't heard much about it either. He said he was going somewhere that if he didn't have all of his equipment properly ready and prepared that he could possibly die. I am not exactly sure what went wrong though

I don't know about the gas thing. He couldn't fill his water bottles after he drank them because the springs were dry. He died from heat exposure.

Thanks Orlando, that was the information i had too. There were quite a few reports about the gas at the beginning, could have been speculation.

This story has intrigued me from the start.
